GITAI Awarded Contract Under Missile Defense Agency’s $151B SHIELD IDIQ Program

GITAI has been awarded a contract from the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)

TORRANCE, Calif. – December 23, 2025 – GITAI USA Inc. (GITAI), a U.S.-headquartered space robotics company, today announced that it has been awarded a contract under the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) program.

The SHIELD IDIQ program, with a total ceiling value of $151 billion, is designed to accelerate the delivery of innovative and scalable capabilities to support critical homeland defense missions. The program emphasizes speed, agility, and the rapid integration of emerging technologies to meet evolving national security requirements.

Through this award, GITAI intends to make its advanced space robotics capabilities and agile, vertically integrated development approach available to support potential future missile defense and space-based defense initiatives. GITAI’s in-house design and manufacturing model enables accelerated development timelines, cost efficiency, and rapid iteration—capabilities well aligned with the objectives of the SHIELD program.
